Headmaster Sullivan P. Yardsly

December's Featured Character is the headmaster of Sherlock Academy of Fine Sleuths. With the help of his sister, Headmaster Yardsly established the school in order to train students to be great detectives like Holmes. He loves finding bright new students and watching them develop their detecting skills. He currently has a keen interest in Rollie Wilson, since he helped solve the last mystery at the school. Here are some other interesting facts about the principal:

1. Headmaster's initials spell SPY

2. His birthday June 7 is the same as the author's father's DOB

3. Before opening the academy, Yardsly worked first at Scotland Yard and later as a private consulting detective like Holmes.

4. Besides serving as headmaster, he also coaches the academy's elite Fencing Team (more on this in the sequel to come)

5. Like Holmes, Yardsly distrusts women to an extent and thus has never married--the only woman he fully trusts is his sister Katherine.

  1. This SPY is a wonderful character, and if the book is to come on audio, you must select the RIGHT voice to be the man from 221b...
