Writer's Workshop

This past Saturday I attended a writer's workshop in Goleta. I got to meet several published and aspiring authors. Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging; the writer community is quite wonderful, I'm finding out. The speaker spoke about arcs in a story. The plot arc is a visual of external conflicts that make up the story. The character arc is a visual of the internal struggles that cause the character to change in the story. The info reminded me of these important elements in a story. I enjoyed participating in the discussion as well. Needless to say, going to the workshop got me inspired to get back to writing the sequel...
